Glassblowing Experience - Private Experience for 2

In this workshop, you'll be shown the science and art of lampworking by local Cumbrian glassblower, James Stewardson. Guided by your interests, James will show you how to create some of the glass art we sell in the shop. With over 10 years experience glassblowing, he can make a range of glass art - from decorative sculptures and jewellery to marbles and functional glassware! 

This private experience for 2 is the perfect gift for a partner, best friend or family member - not only will you leave with personalised gifts, but you'll also leave with fond memories of melting glass together.

• At least 1 bespoke handmade glass piece made by each of you.
• At least 1 bespoke handmade glass piece made by James for each of you. 

This workshop is based at a studio a 3-minute drive from the village of Hawkshead.

Should I book a 2-hour or 4-hour experience? The 2-hour experience gives participants a really good insight into the basics of lampworking, letting them see how the process works and giving them the chance to have a go at the torch. The 4-hour experience is much more immersive - participants will get to see James demonstrate more complex glass pieces and they'll also get more time behind the torch. Participants will also receive and make more glass art in this experience. Great for those that get really lost in any craft that put their attention on!
